If you do not have the JustGiving API or if you wish to import historical data, then you can use the Data Feeds wizard to import the data from the JustGiving spreadsheets in to Access Charity CRM.
There is a template that you can use to import JustGiving files.
JustGiving Payments File
The JustGiving Payments File imports fundraisers and donors and creates contact records for them. The system will do a dedupe to prevent duplication of records occurring.
Donations and JustGiving fees will get added to new Access Charity CRM batches, and new pledge records will get created if regular JustGiving donors are included in the payments file.
🤓 Tip: You can also use the payments file template to import Gift Aid information.
Custom codes
Custom codes will also get mapped to the appropriate data within Access Charity CRM as part of the Data Feed process.
These custom codes are held within Library Definitions and can be defined per site; however as standard they are:
Custom Code1 - Serial Number
Custom Code 2 - Source Code
Custom Code3 - Destination Code
CustomCode4 - Event ID
CustomCode5 - Pledge ID
CustomCode6 - PledgeID-Fee
⚠️ Important: Before uploading this file you will need to ensure that the spreadsheet is formatted correctly so that Access Charity CRM can map the column headings from the spreadsheet to fields within entities.
The rest of the mappings automatically map to a default position; however, you can change these if applicable.
Due to limitations with the datafeeds, it is not possible for them to process refunds from JustGiving, these will need to be handled manually in line with your organisation's process for reversing payments.
Please also be aware that the processes for importing JG Payments dedupes automatically. If some, or all, payments are not brought in this is due to them already existing in the system. Donors are deduped using the Fundraiser ID stored on the Contacts External Ref Sublist on the Control Tab, if it can't match using this it will then use various combinations of First Name, Key Name, Email Address, and Postcode for deduping. Payments are deduped on the Donation ID.
Due to the unique nature of the JustGiving DataFeed, it is not possible for any bespoke changes to be carried out around this area of the system in relation to changing what is mapped to payment ref and external ref.
