Once contacts have been set up within the system, you can use the Relationship tool to link them together.

  1. Search for the contact you want to create a relationship for and open their record.

  2. Click the Relationships tab.

  3. In the Relationships sublist, select the plus button.

  4. In the Related Serial Number field, click the magnifying glass search button.

  5. Select the contact, organisation, or household you want to link to.

📌 Note: If you can’t find the record, select New Individual or New Organisation to add them.

  6. In the Relationship Types field, click the magnifying glass search button and choose the most suitable relationship (for example, Employer).

    • The Reverse relationship field fills in automatically, but you can edit this if needed.

  7. If you know them, add the start date, end date, and any notes about the relationship.

  8. If you want to use the related contact’s details for mailings, select the relevant checkboxes.

📌 Note: You need to select the checkboxes provided if you’d like the related person’s contact details used as the preferred method for mailing.
