There are two ways to create an event. One is to make the event free for people to attend, the other is to create a chargeable event. With both methods, the user will be taken through the event process so they know what is required at each stage.
Create an event
On the Events ribbon tab, click on the drop-down arrow on the New ribbon button.
Select either New Free Event or New Chargeable Event.
Fill out the appropriate fields as necessary. As a minimum, enter an Event ID (this will already be populated, this can be changed it to anything), give the event a Name and select a Start Date.
Click Save.
Stage 1: Set Attendee Types
The first stage is to select the type of people are wanted at the event. If the event is chargeable, then there are few extra steps to follow.
Stage 2: Set Up Extras
The Set Up Extras stage is where the user can start adding extra components to the event.
Stage 3: Booking
There are two ways to make a booking:
Using the Booking wizard will enable the user to add details of the attendees and the payment method. Users will then be taken through a series of steps on the Event Bookings form, which will allow them to book attendees on to the appropriate event extras and take any necessary payments for the booking.
Using the quick booking allows the user to book a selection of invitees quickly.
π Note: You will not be able to select separate Attendee Types for each individual using this method.
Once the attendees have been booked on to the event their status will be marked as Pending. To mark them as Attended, use the Attendees List ribbon button where users can use the barcode functionality.
Stage 4: Complete
Once the Complete button is pressed, there are no further options which mean users have come to the end of the event process. Go back to any stage by selecting the Workflow buttons at the top of the form if you need to amend any details.
