Mark and unmark a contact as deceased

Follow these steps to mark and unmark a contact as deceased.

In order to mark a record as deceased within Access Charity CRM, make use of the Do Not Contact function to mark them with the appropriate reason.

Mark as deceased

To mark a contact as deceased:

  1. Click CRM, then Contacts.

  2. Search for the contact you want to update.

  3. Click the More drop down, then Do Not Contact.

  4. Select Do Not contact and enter Deceased into Do Not Contact Reason.

  5. Optionally, fill in the Date of Death.

  6. Click Save.


Unmark as deceased

If a contact has been marked as deceased by mistake, this can be removed by following the same process:

  1. Click CRM, then Contacts.

  2. Search for the contact you want to update.

  3. Click the More drop down, then Do Not Contact.

  4. Unselect Do Not contact and delete Deceased from Do Not Contact Reason.

  5. Delete the Date of Death.

  6. Click Save.
