Manage Web Users

Create web users individually or in bulk.

Written by Cristiana Ghinea

If there is access to the Web Users option, user accounts can be set up and managed for the website. This function is primarily used alongside the REST API.

šŸ“Œ Note: Web User passwords created in Access Charity CRM will be visible in plain text to all users. Once the user resets their password, it will then be displayed as ********.

If the Web User resets their password but then forgets it, their existing password is not visible to tell them. Instead, the password can be reset to provide them with a new alternative password.

Once the Web User has logged in with the new password they will then have an option to reset it to something more memorable. Alternatively, the Web User can use the Password Reminder email option on the web.

Create a new Web User account

āš ļø Important: Before creating a new Web User account, make sure all the relevant contacts have email addresses.

  1. Click Web Admin, then Users.

  2. Click Web Users.

  3. On the toolbar, click New.

  4. Select the user that requires a Web account to be created.

    • The user's email address will be displayed by default in the User Name field and this is what the user will use to log in to the website with.

  5. Click Reset Password to change the one that gets generated automatically.

The new web account is now set up for the user.

Importing Groups

šŸ“Œ Note: Web User accounts will not be created for users who already have an existing account or for contacts who do not have an email address.
