Integrate Charity CRM and Mailchimp

Follow these steps to set up your Mailchimp integration.

Before you start you will need to make sure that you have signed up to a MailChimp account, created your Mailchimp mailing list and have added your credentials into Access Charity CRM.


This will involve locating the API key for the account.

📌 Note: Access Charity CRM will not have access to your Mailchimp account password.

Mailchimp Setup

  1. To sign up to a free account with Mailchimp, go to http://mailchimp.com/.

  2. From the homepage, click the Sign up Free button.

  3. Enter an email address, username and password.

  4. Create your mailing list within Mailchimp. Make sure you are logged in and then go to the Lists option at the top, then click the Create List button.

  5. Enter your list details and click Save.

  6. To get your API key go to Profile under your user account.

  7. Click the Extras drop down arrow and select API keys.

  8. Click the Create a Key button.

  9. Copy and paste the API key into Access Charity CRM.


Access Charity CRM Setup

Once you have set up your Mailchimp account and have located the API key, you will need to enter the details in to Access Charity CRM.

  1. Go to the Admin module and select the Integration Form.

  2. Select the New button from the Ribbon.

  3. Select Mail Chimp, which will open the New Mailchimp Credentials form.

  4. Enter a Description for the credentials you are adding to make easily identifiable and paste the API Key from Mailchimp.

  5. Click Save.

📌 Note: Multiple Mailchimp connections can be created. When linking a new mailing, the system will ask which connection will be used.
