Mailing 'Exclude Ref' function

Exclude Ref in a mailing excludes people who didn't receive the previous mailing.

Exclude Ref is a function of mailings which allows you to automatically prevent a contact from receiving multiple mailings from a set.

In order to set this up:

  1. Create mailing A and load contacts.

  2. Enter a unique reference for this mailing in the Exclude Ref field.

  3. Create mailing B and enter the reference from mailing A in the Exclude Ref field.

  4. Load contacts into this mailing.

Mailing A will be treated like any normal mailing. All contacts loaded into the mailing can be mailed as long as they're otherwise valid.

For Mailing B, any records which were also included within mailing A will be marked with a do not contact reason: 'This contact has already received the <Exclude Ref> mail'. Any contacts loaded into mailing B but not mailing A can be mailed as usual.
