This article explains how to delete saved searches and details any potential risks involved.

Written by Cristiana Ghinea

Access Charity CRM allows you to delete saved searches by following the steps below. However, keep in mind that this will affect other areas of the system, as saved searched are used in other modules.

📌 Note: Deleting saved searches is an action limited to administrators of the system.

Delete a saved search

To delete a saved search:

  1. Click Admin, then click Saved Searches.

  2. Use the search bar to find the saved search you want to remove.

    • Searches are filtered by module.

  3. Click Delete next to the relevant search.

  4. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.

⚠️ Important: Deleting a saved search cannot be undone. Some saved searches are required for system features and processes to work correctly.

Searches you should not delete

You may want to consider some caution when deleting certain saved searches, as some of these are used by the system, either via manual or automatic processes.

These are:

  • MyInWorkBatches: The finance batches form will load this saved search on first entry. Removing this saved search will result in the module failing to load.

  • ContactsWithinRadius: This search is used as part of the Contacts Within Radius of a postcode search, in the contacts module. This function will fail to bring back any results if deleted.

  • MyInWorkMailings: The CRM Mailing form will load this saved search on first entry. Removing this saved search will result in the module failing to load.

Additionally, any saved search linked to a group to populate and update the results would immediately stop working, as there's no longer any search for the group to pull from.
